contact folder missing

AGrg

I am using Outlook 2003. My Dell system runs XP with SP2.
My right side bar is Favorite Folders, then, "All Mail Folders".
In "All Mail Folders" I have "Personal Folders".
Under "Personal Folders" I have
deleted items
drafts
Inbox
Outbox
Sent items
search folder.

I used to have "contact" folder there, by I cannot make this contact folder
showing here?
What can I do to make this folder show?

I assume this contact folder is the "Address Book".
How can make my address book showing last name first?
Currently it is showing first name first.
At the Email Accounts, view address book, Outlook address book, I already
click "show name by" file as "Smith John". Doesn't do anything.

Contacts, calendar, tasks and journal do not show in the all mail folder list, only mail folders. Switch to the all folders list.

Thanks. Can you tell me how to switch to "all folder list" in the nagviation
pane?

In my contact list and my address book, how can I make the contact list to
show last name first?
At the Email Accounts, view address book, Outlook address book, I
already click "show name by" file as "Smith John". But my address book /
contact list still show first name first.

Click the "Folder List" button at the bottom of the Navigation Pane. Its
icon is a folder. If you don't see it, click the >> at the right end of the
Nav pane buttons.

OK. I found it. I click "GO", then, "folder list". But it will show all the
folders, and I cannot select what folder to show. If I select "Mail", then,
"contact" folder is not shown.

Yuck, all these junk I have to live with all the choice of I have because of
the monopoly of Microsoft.

I am still unable to transfer contact list easily from one computer to
another.

Yes, Bill Gates himself singled you out especially to make your life miserable and instructed all 30,000 or so programmers to create a PIM that would drive you around the bend.

Of course. If you tell the Navigation Pane to show "All Mail Folders", then
it's doing EXACTLY WHAT YOU TOLD IT when it doesn't show the Calendar or
Contacts. If you want to see only the Contacts, then use the "Contacts"
view of the Navigation Pane. If, however, you want to see both mail and
contact folders, you have to use a view that shows both types, and that's
Folder List. What's so tedious about that?

No one holds a gun to your head and forces you to use Microsoft. If it's
required for your job, then blame the management of your company for making
you use Outlook, not Microsoft.

Copy the PST. Simple.
