Constantly changing desktop

I downloaded a desktop which I enjoy, but I would like to use another for
now. It keeps automatically changing whichever desktop I choose back to
itself. Does anyone know how to stop this without deleting it?

Try this :
+Click Start - Run
+Type "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft" (Including quotes)
+Delete wallpaper.bmp from the folder
+Reapply the backgroud.
