I replaced the motherboard and CPU previously installed in my computer - now
using 3200 AMD64, previously Intel 800mhz. My o/s is XP Home and was
working. Once new board/CPU installed, cmos recognized and Windows boot up
began. However, after long list of windows service files called up the boot
stalled at mup.sys and then rebooted to beginning. Cycle continues endlessly
in safe mode, last usable mode, advanced modes....etc.
Put Windows XP cdrom in drive and changed cmos to read XP off disk first.
No change in problem.
Can anyone help? Thanks!
