It seemed unlikely that Firefox was involved, since this
was originally a SP2/IE thing. But it looks like you're

As of FF 3.7, FF apparently added the file security nag.
The link above shows how to disable it in FF, though I
assume the Registry edit is respected by Firefox as well,
so it shouldn't require specific settings.
I knew FF was getting commercial and bloated, but I
never imagined they'd start adding this kind of junk *and*
hide it in about:config where the vast majority of people
will never be able to adjust it.
