Constant IE changes

There are setting changes made in IE that I've not dealt
with in the past. I started noticing about 4-5 months
ago changes to settings, predominantly after startup
either from Power Schemes, or manual Shutdown,
sometimes while I'm working on the computer and go from
one back to IE.
Some of the most oblivious changes are after startup,
the Toolbar Settings are changed, another is the custom
icons I've did for different links in My Favorites. All
this is more irritating than anything else, I been using
XP since it came out, and three days ago I got a new
computer.
I have ran two different Spyware and Adware programs to
get rid of most if not all that junk, but the thing
that "chaps my hide" is this is a brand new computer. I
don't want to set my firewall so high that I can't do
shit on the computer with out having to OK something
every time I turn around.
HELP.

Check your system further for "hijackware".

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.
