constant crashing

my pc is constantly crashing usually when I am in the middle of typing,
either emails or using MS Word. Its going every 5 - 10 mins or so when I am
typing long letters.The error report says a device driver causes the problem
but cant detect which one and as a bit of a helpless little woman I really
have no idea what to do next. I havent installed anything new on the PC at
all and all virus checks are fine. Any help please ??
 
Sooty, try a system restore. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>System Restore. Try and go back
before this problem started.
 
thank you, yes i have tried this several times and have gone way back but it
seems not to have made any difference at all. i thought it might be related
to the screensaver kicking in when i am writing a long mail but have disabled
it and its made no difference.
