Why did I all of a sudden lose the ability for any of my
Microsoft products to access the internet? All other apps
work, Netscape, earthlink and so on.

Without the exact error message it's hard to suggest anything.

Is this for all sites, secured and non secured.?
Can you get to the sites if you add http://www.... in front of your url?

Rule out parasites.

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.

This is for ALL sites and ALL MS APPS, including updates,
and Messenger the error message is the standard DNS for
IE6. But Netscape works fine as does my earthlink software.
