Hello to all... I'm having a little problem here @ my company...

We currently have 1 machine with windows xp pro doing what a little file
server should do...

But I'm having a little problem...
As everyone knows WindowsXP limits connections to 10 users... but the
problem is that I want to know if there is a way to disconnect clients after
some idle time on the machine... because I have 12 machines accessing to it
and not always they are using resources... they just keep logged...

another solution would be limit access to that machine by IP address... but
since I still have SP1 ( that machine crashes with SP2 dont ask me why :\ )
I dont have a XP SP2 Firewall options...

How to configure the AutoDisconnect time on W2K/XP

When attempting to connect to another Wi2K/XP computer, you may receive the following error message: "No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because there are already as many connections as the computer can accept". This behavior may occurs if the W2K/XP Pro reaches the maximum number (10 doe XP Pro and 5 for XP Home) of inbound connections that the computer can host.

To fix this issue, you can re-configure AutoDisconnect time. By default for the AutoDisconnect time is 15 minutes. If you have more computers need to access the host computer, you may want to lower the AutoDisconnect time. Then when the session is disconnected, one of the ten connections becomes available so that another user can connect to the Windows system.

To configure AutoDisconnect time, net config server /autodisconnect:time command. For example, if you want to limit the AutoDisconnect time 10 minutes, type this command in command prompt: net config server /autodisconnect:10.
