Sorry Sharon, but you got the msblast virus. You need to patch your system
by downloading this:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/8/b/98bcfad8-afbc-458f-aaee-b7a52a9
83f01/WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe

That will patch your system. You then need to disenfect the virus. Go here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixBlast.exe or here:
http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/stinger.exe

Unfortunately, you may not be able to stay online long enough to download
the patch. You'll have to disable DCOM to do that:

run C:\WinNT\System32\Dcomcnfg.exe

To disable DCOM, go to the Default Properties tab and uncheck the box

If you do not have to re-enable DCOM again, then on the Default Protocols
tab remove all protocols. You won't need them and that should stop the OS
from listening on Port 135 (unless you have other programs that are forcing
it open

Hope that helps!

You have the worm. You need to unplug your phone line. Go
to start. Go to internet and network connection. You should
get some icons. Right click the icon and go to properties.
Hit the advanced tab and click on you want the firewall or
whatever it says. Do that on all the icons that you can.
That should let you log on . Then go to www. microsoft.com
and download the worm extractor.
