Connection changed on it's own

I have a dial up connection and use Internet Explorer 6.0
and AOL 9.0. I set my connection window on "always dial
my default connection" and thats America online. Within
about 5 or ten minutes it resets itself to "never dial a
connection" even after I click "apply" and "OK". I have
done this 20 or 30 times on different days and it is
always the same. This computer is in my home and I am the
only one that uses it. Could any of these products be
doing this? Zone Alarm Fire Wall(free version) Panda anti-
virus, Winpatrol, AOL 9.0 or could it be Internet
Explorer itself doing this? Any help would be
apprecitated.

I don't use AOL, but I would suspect the AOL software.
Does the AOL software launch at some point? If so, I
guess they're expecting you to use their software to
connect, that's why they're disabling the connection
via IE.

If you're unable to resolve it, contact AOL tech support.
