connecting

hi can anyone help. I am not a technonerd and am having
problems in setting up my webcam for use with msn 6.1.
My family abroad also has msn 6.1 we have both got our
own live pictures in the small screens but can't see or
hear each other. We have checked the firewall problem.
I am sure there is something very simple that we have
forgotten to do but what is it?!!! Any suggestions
gratefully recieved.
