I have a new dell,
my old pc had Xp and i used MSN 6.1 it worked great.
The new pc with XP useing MSN messanger 6.1 will work but
no audio. I can hear find and transfer files but when i
talke other people cannot hear me. the IM program looks
like it is working fine i can see the mic bar go up and
down, i can hear meself in my speekers, but they cannot
hear me.
AOL works with audio but i don't like aol.
and an other program call SKYPE works real good.
i would like to use MSN insted.
also windows Messenger dos the same thing.
the tuning wizzard works good

i had no firewall
no router
no anit virus
basicly it was XP with MSN messenger right out of the
box. nothing on the system
it should work
i ran updates
reinstall messenger 6.1
i use cable modem Dinamic IP.
It worked before.
sound drivers are installd properly.
what getts me is that aol & SKYPE work but the MSN
messenger dos not.

i was hoping that a Microsoft rep would read this and
contact me @

Greetings,

You and your contact might try turning off the QoS
Packet Scheduler. To do so, click Start,
then click the Control Panel. If you're in category view click Network and Internet
connections then click Network Connections. Right click
your network/internet connection,
then click Properties. Uncheck the QoS Packet
Scheduler, then reboot and try again.
