Connecting XP Home Edition to office network

My office Windows 2000 advanced Server accepts only NTLMv2 responses while
authanticating. I have a laptop with windows XP home edition. My problem is
to configure the laptop to send NTLMv2 . I appricate any help
 
Not sure if this is of any value, but XP home cannot be part of a domain.
