Connecting to XP via SFTP/SSH

I can successfully connect to my mac on the net through my FTP app, I simply
turn on Remote Login and then in my remote FTP enter my IP address and u/p
and I'm connected.

I've tried to do the same with my XP pro machine but everytime I try to
connect I get connection refused.

I've forward all ports to the machine, I can connect to it via HTTP but
everytime I try to SFTP into it I get connection refused. Is there some
setting that needs to be switched on somewhere or do I require addition
software?

Macs are built on a Unix core which usually includes a SFTP server.
Windows does not have a SFTP server active by default. You will
have to find/install a SFTP server on the Windows machine you want
to connect to. One freeware server is here:
