Connecting Keyboard via USB

Anyone have a recommendation on how I can add a standard keyboard to my
laptop via USB connection. I have a PS/2 to USB adapter, but the connection
says "Unknown Device". Is there some kind of driver I can use?

Does the BIOS recognize the USB at boot up? Why not buy a
USB keyboard.

Jim,
This is a laptop so I cannot disconnect the built-in keyboard. I already had
a keyboard PS/2 to USB conversion cable (free) vs. a new USB keyboard for at
least $30. Finding a software solution should be possible.

Check with the laptop tech support about connecting a second
keyboard.

built in one and use the USB. When I disconnect it reverts back to
the built in one. It requires no software. :)
