connecting computers

Pam

I just recently got a wireless laptop and have my two desktops and wireless
laptop connected thru a linksys router - Since I'm new to vista and have
never connected any of my computers before - can someone ell me how to
network my 2 desktops (and maybe my laptop) together? I've googled and
searched all day long and have tried a hundred different ways to do it - but
have come up empty - from my 'main' computer I can see the other desktop in
my nework sharing but when I click on the other computer - it says it can't
connect - can anyone help me or give me a a really easy place to follow
directions....

thanks! Pam

Hi Pam,

How each machine is set up depends on the installed operating system. For
Vista, it is fairly simple. In the Control Panel, locate the Network and
Sharing Center. You must enable network discovery for other machines to see
it. If you enable Public folder sharing, then files kept under
C:\Users\Public will be visible to other computers. If you enable
file/folder sharing as well, then folders that you have set to network share
will also be visible.
