connecting client drives

is there a way to connect client drives when using
terminal server in administration mode. The option to
enable this is greyed out.

That probably means that you are running W2K on your TS.
You need 2003 for automatic redirection of local drives. In W2K,
share your local drives and connect to them from withing the session.

I am using w2k and the local drive is set up as a share
but how do I actually connect them within the session?

Hi,

Is it true that this will only work with client/server on the same LAN
(or VPN) under Win2k TS? With a WinXP client I can map drives connecting
across the LAN OK but would love to be able to do it from outside.

Thanks.

Yes, that's correct. You can't use it over the Internet. In that
situation, I would use FTP instead for file transfer.
