Connect via RPC from outlook on home PC?

We are using exchange 2003 here and I have setup RPC over SSL for our users
here that are on the road and uses laptops. I find the need to check my mail
from home quite often and I would prefer to setup outlook at home to connect
to my work mail. Is there a way to set this up so I can login to outlook and
see all my mail in this way without my home PC being joined to the domain at
work?
 
absolutely. setup is the same regardless if the machine is joined or
unjoined. (hint: you might find it easier to setup the profile w/out a
network connection at home. this way you don't incur the timeout/error
message about the server not available and can still configure the profile
to use rpc/https.)
