Connect two sites

Adrià Garreta

Hi,

I've got two sites in different cities.

IP set first site: 192.168.0.x
IP set second site: 192.168.1.x

Both got a win2000 server with adsl link.

Which is the best way to connect them permanently?

Both sites got static ADSL IP.

Information doesn't need to be encrypted.

Many thanks,

The best way to connect thoses sites would be this. Using
your Adsl links, connect both of them into a server or a
router, and configure a static route between 192.168.0.X
and 192.168.1.X. That is supposing that your Adsl links
are located at the same location. If not, you can use a
VPN to connect your servers via the internet.

Setup a VPN to connect to your public address (provided by
your Adsl providers) on both server, 1 pointing to the
other and vice versa. You will still have to configure a
static route using this method. You can encrypt your VPN
(Highly Recommended) using L2TP. This is rather simple if
you understand L2TP.

Hope this helps.
