Connect to Several Exchange Accounts

Hello,

We are currently on a SBS 2003 Premium Network.

How do I get outlook to connect to several different Exchange email
accounts? I would like to be able to check the email from several diffrent
accounts at the sametime and also be able to send emails from these accounts
with the from address showing as the respective accounts. I currently use
ruls and filters to move the message from the different accounts into
respective public folders. But since it not each to send or reply from
public folders I would like to find another solution or use different
programs.

I would use Exchanges webmail feature but it does not download a copy of the
email to our computers.

Also will the next version of Exchange allow you to send emails directly to
public Folders?

Also does anyone know of any other email programs except Outlook that
connects to Exchange Server?

Thank you.

This is not the best group for your question - next time, try
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs (or an Exchange group). I'm setting
followups to go to that group and I suggest you subscribe to it - it's a
great resource.

You need Send As rights, and Full Mailbox rights, on the other mailboxes -
so you can open them up in Outlook as additional mailboxes. Those are set on
the Exchange server in ADUC.
Then you need to display the From field so you can manually enter the
sending address in a new message.....although a reply / forward should
automatically use the correct address.

Nor does Outlook if you connect to the mailbox using MAPI (which you
should) - although it can use Cached Mode to make a mirror / cache on your
hard drive. However, cached mode will not act on anything other than the
primary mailbox in your profile and you will have access to those mailboxes
only while you are online/connected to the Exchange server, note.

You can do this now; just mail-enable the PFs in Exchange System Manager and
set the permissions on them appropriately
Public folders are going bye-bye after the next release of Exchange, note.

Sure. Entourage, or any POP / IMAP client if you've opened up access to
same.
