Hello, my doubt is the following one:

I have a domain with a servant win2000 server. The case is that I
have a user whom it has to accede to the printer, but I do not want to
put it in the domain. It is possible to be done from system simbol,
but it requests user and password and when the computer is
reinitialized the connection is not restored.

If somebody knows how to do it please help me, is very important.

Thanks.

I gather that the printer is attached to the Windows 2000 server. I am
pretty sure that when you share the printer on the server, that by
definition makes it a network printer, rather than a shared local printer.
If it were attached to a workstation running Windows 2000 Professional or
XP, for instance, then it could be a shared local printer.

What we may be able to help you with is addressing your goal in sharing the
printer with one user, but not wanting to put the printer in the domain. Why
not share the printer? You can grant permissions to just the one user.
