Connect remote DB, not in a domain

I have been trying to utilize the new offline feature on my laptop and I
would like the master database on my workstation. When I contact I get lots
of unable to connect because my local password doesn't match my remote
password. My guess this is because I am not conected to a domain so that it
see laptop/user and workstation/user as to different people.

How do I fix this?

In order to connect to remote database in workgroup settings, the username
and password should match on both remote and local computer. You will need
to create an account on remote machine with same username and password as on
your laptop. Please post back if you already have and you are setting
error.

BTW, this requirement to have the same user name and password on both
machines in a workgroup network applies across most Windows networking
features. Sharing folders, music, and so on, all require the same user
and password pairs.

There's one exception. In the most basic home network all users are
considered by the other Windows PCs to be user "guest", with no
password, but that level of security is insufficient for business
applications like BCM.
