'Conflict' messages popping up in outlook

How to resolve 'conflict' messages popping up in outlook. When i look in my
'sync' folder the subfolder for 'conflicts' contains messages that have not
been sent.

In the mailbox clean up section it notes/shows a high volume of conflicts -
why?

What version of Outlook? What do the conflict messages say, exactly? What
type of mail account?
