Conflict between Works & Office

I recently updated my PC and it came with XP (I was on
Windows 2000 before). It also came with Microsoft Works
but I decided to re-install Microsodt Office 2000. I now
seem to have problems copying newly created Word docs;
the message I get is "Cannot copy ... The directory or
file cannot be created."

Anyone know what is going on?
