Pam,

A computer can only be a member of one workgroup or domain at a time. That
said, workgroup membership is not as meaningful as you would think - it just
determines what shares get displayed directly under My Computer / My Network
Places. If you look under Entire Network - Microsoft Windows Network, you will
see all computers in all workgroups connected to your LAN (which comes as a
shock to new users of cable broadband internet service).

Greetings Pam,

Windows does support multiple workgroups, and a computer in any workgroup
can access a computer in any other workgroup.

When you click "View workgroup computers", only computers in your own
workgroup appear. To see all of the workgroups on the network, press the
Backspace key.

Start | Run | \\Computer" should access a computer, regardless of what
workgroup it's in. The only exception I can think of is when there's no
browse master in that computer's workgroup.
