I want to add my yahoo account to outlook not sure how,
hotmail was automatic

Check the Yahoo! Help files. You must be using their premium paid service
but they have the instructions on their web pages.

I don't think this is correct. I have an Yahoo email account (free) and I
can get Outlook to retrieve mail from this account by using
"pop.mail.yahoo.com" as incoming mail server and "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" as
outgoing mail server.

Works fine for me.

You have to pay Yahoo if you want POP access to their servers....you may be
using an add-in that hacks this somehow.

Look for YahooPops! on SourceForge.net - great solution. Worked with
OL2000, haven't tested on OL2003.
