Configuring my computer for Domain network

I need assistance with seting up my Network Connection.

I had my notebook set up so I can login to my computer for use at home with
no
network and a login for when I am connected to a network with a domain at a
clients office. Every thing worked fine until I had to reformat my drive and
reinstall XP Pro.

Now I believe I have set up my notebook incorrectly. I need a document to
help me or some good advise.

Currently my home login is set for a home workgroup which I do not want.
And I can not set up the login for the domain. When I attempt to setup the
domain which aba.lan it will not work. I know that I do not need thw home
workgroup but I can get delete it.

If you need more information, please let me know.

Please point me to a document or give me some step by step instructions.
Thanks

You need to take your laptop to the office and ask your
network administrator to register it on the domain.

Thank you for the response but I am the acting network administrator. So I
would appreciate some help.

You need to connect it to the domain network and re-join using a domain
administrator's ID and password.

Richard,

Ok, I am a domain administrator and have a domain password. Could you
please give me a few more details. When I try to connect it is not
recognizing the domain.

My computer is listed as one of the computers on the domain and I am a user
on that domain with Admin rights. I know that I do not have the
configuration correct on my notebook. That is where I need the additional
help.

Thanks
