configuring me email to my new laptop

I tried to configure my (e-mail address removed) email address to my new
laptop but it did not work. Now I have to log on to the dslextreme website
everytime I want to check my email. How can I configure it on this
windowsvista laptop so I can retrieve emails like I do on my home computer
where all I have to do is click on the microsoft outlook icon that is on the
desktop?

Do you get any error messages from your Vista setup?
If so please post them here, un-edited. copy/paste.

Did you configure the account to leave all messages on the server, so that
they are available to 2 or more machines?
tools>accounts>your account>properties>advanced tab.
