Configuring IE6 for email

I have XP SP2 and IE6. When I try to set up a mail service in IE6 by going to
"tools, internet options, programs" I find the selection for email is blank
and will not allow me to set up an entry. I have Outlook and Outlook Express
loaded on my computer. Please help clear this up so that it works properly.
