Configuration fails to open after upgrading to SP2

I have just upgraded my licensed XP Embedded SP1 to SP2 using SP2 upgrade.
All my configuration files are failing to OPEN.
Exception thrown :
CMI error, Code : 0x800a01c9
Desciption : This key is already associated with an element of this
collection.
In Messages pane : Current message is : Upgrading from : "Windows Media
Player 8.0 [Version 5.1.2600.1106, R1902 (EOL)]"

Do I need to upgrade my configuration9slx) file later ? How to do that ?

I have downloaded the Smart Upgrade component by KM , but how to use it when
the configuration is not even opening.

You obviously have got the wrong XPe SP2 installation so the SmartUpgrade component may not help you.

Please also be aware that I have not yet uploaded the latest version of it on the www.xpefiles.com (there is no way to update files
there :-(, so I am waiting for Brad to remove the current version from the website). If you need the fixed version please let me
know your email address and I'll send you the new zip directly.


Regarding the SP2 install...
Just in case, when you open TD (with SP2 database installed) make sure that the Auto Upgrade option of TD is cleared.
You may also want to search archive. There have been a number of reports regarding problems with the SP2 installation.
Make sure you don't run any AV software on the dev machine.
Also, try manually removing the WMP 8 component from database.
