conditional formatting

If a cell contains a formula, can you create a conditional format in that
cell based on a condition of another cell that also contains a formula? I
cannot get that to work.

If there are formulas in A1 and C1 and you want A1 to change format when the
formula in C1 results in a specific value like 100, you select A1 and then
Format|Conditional Format|Formula is|=C1=100 and set the new format.

The Conditional Formatting has it's own area to be entered.
You can have up to 3 conditional formatting formulas per cell.
