COPYING CONDITIONAL FORMATTING WHEN COPYING CELLS OVER

SCENARIO:
I HAVE CONDITIONED CELL C4 TO BE RED IF LESS THAN CELL C3. COLUMN "C" REPRESENTS JANUARY DATA. I WANT COLUMN "D" TO REPRESENT FEBRUARY, COLUMN "E" TO REPRESENT MARCH, AND SO ON AND SO ON. I WANT TO DRAG CELLS C4 AND D4 OVER AS TO COPY THE FORMATTING. HOWEVER, I WANT THE CONDITION TO CHANGE FOR EACH COLUMN. FOR EXAMPLE, CELL D4 TO BE RED IF LESS THAN CELL D3, AND CELL E4 TO BE RED IF LESS THAN E3. I CANNOT FIND A FAST WAY TO DO THIS. I AM CURRENTLY ADDING A NEW CONDITIONAL FORMAT FOR EACH CELL IN ROW 4. I HAVE HUNDREDS OF DATA POINTS THAT I NEED TO DO THIS FOR. IS THERE A FASTER WAY? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE HELP.

select cell C4 => Conditional Formatting => New rule => Formula to
determine.... and use this formula:
=C4<C3 and choose your expected format.
