I upgrade my wife's older laptop to XP the other day but when I started it up
I received the following error message after the initial XP loading screen:
"The Logon User Interface DLL GTGina.dll failed to load. Contact your
system administrator to replace the DLL or restore the original DLL.
[Restart]."
The only option is to restart the computer which then starts the process
over again. I found and old post from someone with a similar problem here:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/co...+user+interface+DLL+GTGina.dll+failed+to+load
My two posts are at the bottom of the list, chronicling my attempt to use
the BartPE Boot CD. And that is where I ran into a brick wall. Please help
as I will soon be heading to Iraq and the laptop was going to be my link back
home!!!

Brendan,

This is a Windows Vista newsgroup, your problem is Windows XP related.
Please try and post to one of the XP groups.
As an aside you could try and perform a repair install with your XP CD (just
boot from it and choose the repair option).
You should probably stay clear of dodgy third party products such as
"BartPE" etc.
