How does one tell if their computer is a 64 bit or not?
I have to install .net framework but it won't work on a
64 bit machine. Thanks.

The price of a 64-bit computer is so "memorable" that those who have it
don't need to ask <g>. However, if you want to check: in Windows Explorer
right click on My Computer and select Properties. If you have a 64-bit
system, the properties window will state that explicitly; if not, it will
simply show your version of Windows with no explicit statement re 32-bit.

You have the 32-bit edition. Anybody who has to ask the question
is running the 32-bit version. The 64-bit version requires
special hardware. It and the hardware have come down in price,
but are still substantially more expensive than the standard
consumer PCs you see around. Very few home users are using it.
