Computer won't visit other URLs

I'm an experienced computer user, but this one baffles me. I hit IE and it
brings up my homepage, but when I type in any other URL, it redirects me back
to the homepage. I can't visit any other sites! This just started recently.
For a while I could visit other sites that were in the lists on my address
window or favorites, but I cleared out my history and files and autocomplete
to see if that would help. This, of course, eliminated the list in my address
drop down window. Now, no matter what I type in the address window, it
redirects me back to my homepage. HELP!!

Scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus,as well as
with latest versions of Adaware/Spybot/CWShredder.Run all of them in
safe mode.
