Hey,
I recently bought an Inspiron and it has worked great untill today. It
no longer plays or reads any cd that I insert. My cd drive is also not
listed under My Computer, even when there is a cd in the drive. However the
Audio CD file still exits in Control Panel/Folder Options/File Type,
extension (NONE). Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is
happening and how I can fix it?
Thanks.

I suspect you need a new cd drive. The fine manual tells how to replace the
drive. I would get one from Dell.
