Computer will not boot

The computer will not boot, it shuts down after 25 seconds.
My computer doesnot have an A: drive only cdrom d:. I have
tried putting in the first disk of the Recovery (five disk)
aand it will not access the drive. Help! bc
 
You may want to check in the bios for an option to boot from the cd first,
then the hard drive.
Elsewise, it could be a hardware failure within the system, if it is not
being recognized.
