Please help. I have a computer that is running Windows XP Pro. When you click
on start/run, it will type in "g" and "1" by itself repeatedly. When I'm on
the internet, it will type "g" and "1" in when I try to enter my email
password and/or Quickbooks password. I have scanned it with multiple virus
scan programs and they didn't find anything. I've scanned it with Adaware and
Spybot and they found and removed about 150 trojans. I've removed nearly
everything from startup that don't have to be there. But, it still does it.
Is there anything that I'm overlooking? Or, is there something weird going on
that someone knows about?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Rodney Brown

Sounds like your keyboard is busted. I know this doesn't sound like a
particularly high-tech solution, but try banging on the G and the 1 keys a
little. If you've got some canned air, try blowing the keyboard out. If
that doesn't work, see if you can get your hands on a replacement keyboard.

Have you tried a different keyboard?

Steve

Thank you. I have already tried a new keyboard and a new mouse. Thank you.

Thank you. I have tried a new keyboard and a new mouse. It still acts up.

Had a similar problem once, finally tracked down to the fact that
voice recognition software was running. Stopped after I stopped
running VR.

Also can mute the microphone if it is VR doing it.
