computer switching off

Please can someone help me. I have just bought a computer which has windows
pro installed. I have been using the computer fine and managed to load some
games on. However, over the last few days the computer has decicied to keep
switching itself off. There is no time limit to when it switches off, it
could be after 10 mins or 30 mins or doesn't even do it. It only happens
though when my husband is on his football game. Has anybody any suggestions

Games require a lot of graphics that generate a lot of heat. Blow a fan on the
MB or open a window and try.
