Computer Switches Off

Why is it that after a short period of time, my PC just switches off. The
power is on, but when i press my mouse or the keyboard nothing happens.
eventually, i have to switch it off and restart.

I checked the power option menu, but everything seems ok. the montitor
should switch off, but nothing else.

Any advise is my attempt to contribute more than I have received but I can only assure you that it works on my PC. GOOD LUCK.

You may have...

1. Virus damage.
2. Failing/failed power supply.
3. Some really serious heat issues.
