Computer still crashing

My computer has been running with no problens for a long time but latley it
has
started to crash after about 10 mins plus even when Idle and no applications
running. I have cleaned the fans and heat sinks done a nortons windisk doctor
and
Its still crashing and I have done a system restore back 3 months, still
crashing so
now I am trying to do a repair console but it dosn't recognize my addmin
password.
Please can any one help going mad now.

If youre booting to xp cd,you'd select "recovery" not "repair",when asked for
password,simply press enter key.

When I boot from xp disk after setting up windows it asks do you want to
install
or repair or exit set up, I press R to repair windows then the screen goes
black and
it asks me which drive do I want to repair 1 or 2, 1 being C: drive I press
1 then
enter, then it asks for an addmin password if I just press enter it goes to
command
Prompt C:\WINDOWS and thats it and im in DOS now im stuck I know a few com
prompts like dskchk, help, logon, that goes back to choose drive to repair
or as I have to do is type exit. I have tried every pass word I could
possibly think of, and you
only get 3 goes and thats it, I have to go to com prom, log on and start
again.
