I have used every system that I can find to try and find out why my computer is slow and sticks when writing letters, freezes all the time. If possible I do not wish to have to restore it all. Any ideas? Would really appreciate any help. Hired an 'expert' recommended by Bright House, and he went out of business the next day.

Hi Samantha
I suppose you have cleared out your temp folders and defragged your disc.
How much ram are you running, Xp needs at least 256 and really 512 is more
acceptable

Hi Samantha,

Generally caused by spyware/adware installed and running on the system.
These steps should help:

1) Install and run Adaware from www.lavasoft.de

2) Install and run Spyware Blaster from
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

3) Dump all TIF's and selectively delete unwanted cookies

4) Turn on the native firewall or install a third-party one
