Computer shutting itself down - and fan sounds noisy??!!

I am not very technologically minded.... and my PC is driving me mad! It
keeps shutting itself down, especially if I am doing something where I have
to click the mouse a lot?! Or if the kids are playing a PC disc game. Do
you think it might be a build up of dust? It seems to be really noisy when
running - and if it is dust, how can I remove??! Would really appreciate any
help!

Managed to take the computer apart, and it was covered in dust!! Now I have
put it back together, it is apparantly working again, and the loud fan noise
has stopped, so fingers x the problems is fixed!! Thanks!
