It could be many things and heres a couple:
A recent virus causes PC to shut down:
W32/Lovsan.worm.a is a Medium-On-Watch Internet Worm.
Also known as "Blaster" or "MSBlaster", Lovsan has
quickly infected computers throughout the Internet. The
worm takes advantage of a flaw in Windows NT, 2000 and XP
operating systems to drop a malicious program on your
computer. Taken from Macafee Antivirus website:

id=helpCenter&hcName=lovsan
It could be that the heatsink has been dislodged in
transit and therefore not cooling you processor down.
This would hav the effect of shutting the PC down.
You may want to supply a bit more information as to when
this fault occurs so that we can narrow search for a
solution. Does it happen when in a certain program? Does
it happen after a set period of time? Do you get any
warning about the shutdown or any error messages?
Hope this helps
