Computer Shuts down when sync music from cd

Since I downloaded sp2 I can no longer add my cds to my computer, when I
try it shut down my computer, I have tried both Windows media player and
Itunes, I didn't notice the problem until I upgraded to Windows Media Player
11,
I rolled it back to #10 and still have the problem.
Please Help!

Do not use the Sync feature. Use Windows Explorer and Copy&Paste or
Drag&Drop. You can also use Roxio or Nero to transfer the music files.
Sync should only be used to transfer music files from your harddrive
to an external USB device such as an MP3 player or thumb drive, etc.
