Computer shuts down when I try to save movies

I am on a deadline but ready to chuck the whole thing
out. I annot save MM2 files of any significant length...
the computer shuts down without warning. It seems to be
running hot. I have already deleted items using space on
my hard drive and have reduced the graphics accelerator.
Sometimes the comper shuts down when I try to OPEN a MM2
file. Also, when I try to convert the MM2 project into a
movie, it shuts down in the middle of the process. Thanks.

If the machine is overheating, try using a can of compressed air to blow the
dust out of your computer's fans and heatsinks. Dust looks and acts
remarkably like the insulation in my attic. Another extreme solution is to
take the side cover off the tower (if it is a tower) and set a box fan next
to it. That got me through a late-night project when the bearings on my CPU
fan burned out and it was 9 hours until Best Buy opened.
