Saving a Movie File Crashes Entire Computer

I am currently using a Toshiba laptop (2.8Mhz P4/512MB/Windows XP Home with
SP2). I have created a large movie file (35MB) and I have been trying to save
it as a movie file. MM2 gets to about 55% complete and then the entire
computer just shuts down. No messages, just a dead computer.

After bootup, tried to save file again, same results.

I changed the file size and also the performance options for the PC but
nothing helps. Any ideas or could it be a problem outside of MM2?

Does this happen if you do a very short publish? Just drag a single .jpg
image to the timeline so timeline is only 5-15 seconds long and publish it.
