computer reboots on its own

My Windows 2K SP4, reboots without any error message 2-3
times a day. Most often while in Explorer 6.0 or AOL but
sometimes using Office 2000 software. I have downloaded
all available and necessary Window updates. Cannot find
any reference to the problem on line. Any suggestions
will be appreciated.

Pent III 933 with 384 RAM and new 30 gig hard drive and
AGP Video card and network card.

Start | Settings | Control Panel | System | Advanced | Startup and Recovery | uncheck Automatically Reboot. It will not solve any
problem other than it will not reboot and show you the stop error.

Stephen,

I have had the same problem with my P4 w/ W2K Pro ever
since I got the machine. Mine reboots only on dialup
disconnection whether it's done manually or because of
losing the dialup connection. Have you had any good
responses or solutions to this problem? I have gone so far
as completely formatting my hard drive and reloading my
W2K OS. That worked for about 2 weeks. I have replaced my
modem and my CD drive thinking there might be a conflict
but no success there either. Let me know what you have
found out. Thanx
