After installing Windows XP, I have a few problems.
1. When I go to My Computer, all I get is an hourglass
and a waving flashlight. It just stays that way. I The
other directories are OK. This worked OK a couple of days
ago and all I've down is re-install Windows XP a couple
of times and I installed a couple of programs
2. I can't get my C2500 Multipass printer to work. I
downloaded a driver BJC4000 that somebody said would work
but my old istallation disks won't work so I don't know
how to insall the printer.
3. My sound system don't work. At one point I clicked on
speakers some place and got a message that said the
driver wasn't installed. I think the sound card is a
Creative Soundblaster PCI or something like that. Since I
can't get to My Computer, I don't know how to get to the
device manager to find out for sure.
Can anybody give me some advise?

hourglass in my computer is usually an incompatible
scanner/camera software/driver ,in msconfig uncheck in
services wia=windows image acquisition and click ok and
reboot if on reboot my computer opens fine it is up to
you to isolate the incompatible software/driver and
update or remove.

You should try this:

Start/Control panel/Administrative tools/Computer management/Device manager.
At least you will be where you want without "My Computer"
Hope this helps.
