computer no booting - Rebooting in loop

I am having problem with my computer, it is not booting up, it goes to the
screen where I get a horizontal bar going from left to right and after that a
blank screen comes and system reboots itself and this sequence keeps on
happening till I shut down the power supply, it goes to an endless loop of
rebooting but never boot up completely, I tried to start it in safe mode,
safe mode with command prompt, networking, last known good configuration etc
but the problem is same. Can someone help or has any idea what could be the
problem? any reply would be appreciated . Thanks in advance

Sounds like your the victim of the SP2 update that
Microsoft needs to pull off of there site. It did the
same thing to my laptop that i am in the process of
reformatting as I'm typing this. Good luck cause nothing
I've seen on here is going to help. Deleting the
automatic update feature when I'm finished

Mine did the same last week,it was totally useless,i tried last known good
configuration as well with NO success. i eventually reformatted and
reinstalled XP. Hope you can find someone to help you.
